Our Space
Nestled within the administrative building of the historic St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, a landmark on the Upper West Side, our Russian Children’s Studio of Language, Arts, and Culture has been inspiring young minds since 2017. Though unaffiliated with any religion, we are proud to call this beautiful and iconic space our home. Built in 1891 in the stunning Romanesque-Byzantine style, the church's administrative building was originally designed for community service—making it a perfect setting for our mission to foster a love of the Russian language and culture through day care, enriching programs, a publishing house, and cultural events.
Our youngest students thrive in a beautiful 900-square-foot classroom with 12-foot ceilings, large arched windows, and ample natural light. Designed with preschoolers in mind, the space includes bathrooms perfectly equipped for their needs, creating a welcoming and functional environment for early learning.
With five spacious and versatile classrooms, our Studio is a vibrant center for all kinds of activities. From language and literature lessons to theater, arts, music, and rhythmic play, it is a perfect environment for creativity to flourish. Our space also supports stage design, storage for projects, and special events, making it as dynamic as the children who fill it.
