At Russian Children’s Studio, we believe that language and culture come alive through shared experiences, celebration, creativity, and community. Throughout the school year, we organize a wide variety of educational and cultural events for children and families — from seasonal celebrations, workshops, and performances to concerts, festivals, guest presentations, and community gatherings.
Partner With Us Most of our events are created by the RCS team as an extension of our educational mission. Each event is thoughtfully designed to immerse children in the richness of the Russian-speaking world in a joyful and meaningful way. For many children growing up abroad, the Russian language can easily become associated only with parents, homework, reading, or formal study. Our events help expand that perspective. They show children that Russian language and culture are also connected to friendship, creativity, theater, music, laughter, traditions, discovery, and belonging. Through these experiences, children begin to see that there is a whole vibrant, exciting, and living Russian-speaking world beyond the classroom — one they can truly feel a part of.

In June, Russian Children’s Studio hosts its annual theater performances – a warm and much-loved tradition that brings our school year to a joyful close.
This year, we are delighted to open our doors not only to families and friends of our performers, but also to new guests: families considering enrollment in the near future, those already registered for September 2026 who have not yet experienced our after-school theater program, and anyone who would simply like to enjoy children’s theater with their child.
4:30 PM · Moomin Trolls Group (ages 6–7)
Presents a musical performance inspired by the beloved stories of Pippi Longstocking — the spirited heroine who can turn any ordinary day into a grand adventure.
Directed by Tatiana Kolosova
5:30 PM · Smeshariki Group (ages 8–9)
Presents “African Tales” — a lively production inspired by the folklore of African peoples. These vibrant stories explore friendship, courage, and resourcefulness through traditional music, colorful characters, and the magic of children’s theater.

At our studio, theater is more than a performance — it is a meaningful way for children to experience the Russian language through movement, music, and the spoken word. On stage, children learn to express themselves, listen to one another, collaborate, and grow in confidence.

This year, we are delighted to open our doors not only to families and friends of our performers, but also to new guests: families considering enrollment in the near future, those already registered for September 2026 who have not yet experienced our after-school theater program, and anyone who would simply like to enjoy children’s theater with their child (10+ y/o).
The Anderseny group, ages 14–15, will present the musical Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves, based on a play by Veniamin Smekhov, with music by Viktor Berkovsky and Sergey Nikitin.
It is a musical fairy tale with dance, costume changes, and lively stage action, where an Eastern tale becomes a vibrant theatrical story.
Duration: 1 hour.
The Aksakaly group, ages 18–21, will present the vaudeville Quartet “Zh,” inspired by Nikolai Gogol’s play Marriage. It is a theatrical story with humor, vivid characters, and the recognizable atmosphere of Gogol’s comedy.
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes.
During the intermission, guests are welcome to enjoy conversation and drinks.
